Flashing Overdrive Off Light

Hi, I have a 97 F150 (4x4, V8 4.6L, automatic) which has the overdrive off light flashing. I have used a Bluepoint YA3120 CanOBD2 tool to read my fault codes. I had P0503 and P1500 fault codes so I replaced my VSS and checked VSS wiring. It fixed the fault for 50km, and then my overdrive off light started flashing again. The only fault code that appears now is P1464 which has nothing to do with my transmission.

I'm out of ideas of how I can fix it. If you have any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Hamo

4x4? my 97 had a tendency to let the speedo drive gear go. it would spin off the shaft and sit back in the spline'd area. i used epoxy on it and never had a problem since!

Can someone please tell me if the VSS (2 wire) is supposed to have 5 volts reference from the PCM at the sensor? I have contacted ford dealerships and have had one say yes and the other say no. Does anyone know for sure?

These 2 fault codes are now appearing aswell. DTC P0503 and P1500
