From: LOUISIANA,
Not really , just a good pair of "snap-ring " plyers, A c-clap, Enough fluid and new filter.

The only thing specials is a "pound per inch" torque wrench. To re-torque the valve body.

Question

HI!... I'd switch to a synthetic trans fluid like REDLINE D-4. Also I'd install SONNAX valves in the valve body. With yours being a "99", I bet the stock ones could be getting quite worn by now. Also be careful when taking off the small plastic circuit board under the valve body. It tends to break easily if not done delicately.

I went through a butt load of brake-parts cleaner cleaning the valve body out extremely well. 4-5 cans of the stuff easily.
also, lint free rags if you can get a hold of some. Another thing, is a clean workspace, where you won't be tripping over yourself or tranny pans and spilling parts everywhere. I recommend a good workbench ( Tailgate ) where you can lay all the parts out and take your time doing the install.
