I have a 05 4.6 and I need to change my fluid and clean out the pan. Might have some sand or something in there. I was wondering what type of trans I have like whats the name of it. I need to get a new gasket and wanted to see if I could get it on the internet but dont know what kind to get. Also is there anything I need to know when I drop the pan?

 

I believe you have a 4R70E, and the shop manual lists nothing special about dropping the pan. The gasket is reusable, unless you have leaks or what not. Just remember to clean the pan, gasket and magnet, and torque to 10 ft lbs.
