So i went to the auto parts store to get a tranny filter and it came up onthe computer that for my truck (01 5.4 4x2) that i needed a filterfor a 4R100 tranny, but the trans code on my door sticker says U so its a 4R70w so i told him to give me the one for a 4R70w. In their computer it said that the 4R70w was in 4x4's......but anyway this filter and gasket i got has 14 holes in it.....I got the correct one right?

 

You are correct, he is wrong. I have serviced a fleet of 10 4x2s 98-01 that all had 4R70Ws. I would go to a different parts store or order the kit online.
