10"or11" clutch????????

i have a 1989 f150 4.6L 4 speed and i need to replace the clutch but before tearing apart i want to have the new one on hand, after some research i see u can buy either a 10" or 11" clutch. i dont know which one is in the truck already. i am looking to buy the clutch kit to replace it all so i dont know which one i should buy? could someone explain the differance in them or the good and bad between the two thanks!!!!!

1st of all you dont have a 4.6 you proboly mean 4.9 i-6 and if you proboly have the 10in clutch but you can proboly put an 11in clutch in there the flywheels are drilled for both and the 11in will last longer than a 10in so if you plan on keeping it for alot longer get the 11in

If that is a typo and is a 1999 it could have a 4.6.
