CV Joint Boot Replacement help!

I've busted my CV boot for the passenger side wheel. I ordered a new boot from O'Riley's for tomorrow morning. Is it very hard to replace? ANY help would be appreciated.

First you need to remove the half shaft. A 13mm 12 point socket is needed to remove the bolts holding the inner CV joint to the axle flange. The nut at the axle is either a 35mm or 36. I cannnot remember. You have to remove the inner boot disassemble the inner joint and slide that boot off. Then slide the outer boot off. Clean all the grease and slide on the new outer boot grease and clamp the boot. You then need to slide the inner boot back on reassemble the inner joint then clamp the old boot back on. So you will need aside from the new boot and clamps; Break cleaner to clean out the CV joint with the broken boot clamps and a new boot. Plus new clamps for the old inner boot that you had to remove.

PS. If you want to know how to disassemble the inner CV joint let me know. FIW if I ever have to do this again I will replace the whole shaft. It is only $65.00 at Autozone.

I took it to a friend/mechanic, he replaced the whole thing for me since there was some wear on it. Thanks!

Reman axle assemblies are so inexpensive these days you might as well just replace the axle. Not worth the hassle disassembling and reassembling it being that you have to pull the axle anyway, and you will have fresh joints.
