installed new clutch, need help

i just installed a new clutch, flywheel and slave cylinder in my 99 4.2L f150. ive got everything in except the hydraulic line that connects to the slave cylinder. for some reason it wont reconnect?? im starting to think that the guy at the auto parts store gave me the wrong slave cylinder.

Hi, you probably have the right one. Just do a seach there's a lot of threads on how difficult that connector can be.

if you post a pic of the male and female conector we could tell you what the problem is but like said you probobly have the right slave just something with the conector

Try bleeding a bit of fluid from the slave. If there is too much pressure in the slave you will not be able to connect the line to it. Be careful to not let any air enter the slave.
