shaking truck

I Own a 96/97 F150 exstended cab -that starts to shake around 45 to 55 60 then smooths out a bit. I thought it was Ujoints so i had them replaced now I am at a loss, could it be the tranny or rear end??I am afraid the shaking could damage other parts if not diagnosed and fixed!! HAS ANY ONE HEAR HAD THIS PROBLEM the shaking is getting worse

Get your tires balanced. You'd be surprised how badly they can shake you're truck if they match up to another just right. Rule this out before assuming other things. Even switch fronts to backs and see if they shake the seat or the steering wheel. The seat equals rears, wheel equals fronts. Trust me, I'm almost 100% certain it will fix it by having all 4 re-balanced.

I couldn't believe how bad it got at times, I thaught the truck was really ****. It would go away till finally I talked to a guy who own's a spring and alignment shop. Then the story of keeping weights on the rims happened which is a long different story.

Thats what happened with mine. The weights were coming off one wheel and fudged up the entire ride.
