ESOF 4x4 relay ?????

so i need some help. my electronic 4x4 does not engage. i have replaced the transfer case motor, checked all fuses inspected the vacuum lines and yet still not engaging. so my question is are there any relay's related to the ESOF or 4x4 actuation. if so where are they located. i have a 99 f150 4.6 4x4. if anyone can think of any other reason why it is not engaging please let me know. thanks

I just had my second GEM module replaced because my 4x4 would not work, along with "ghost stuff" going on (lights turning on, buzzing, clicking, intermittant speedo, etc) and it was all because the windshield leaked rain in onto the module...replaced windshield, and its all good so far....

Lift the front wheels off the ground and with the engine running and the truck in park engage 4hi, get under the truck and try to turn the front drive shaft. It should not turn.

You said you checked the vacuum lines put did you check the vacuum solenoid the is located on the passenger side up on the firewall. I had that same problem as you with my 98 and also now with my 04. I replaced that and it fixed my issues. The bottom port will have vacuum when you pull off the lines replace just the bottom line back to the bottom of the solenoid place in 4x4 and check the top port to see if you have vacuum if no vacuum then theres your issue also there will be an electrical connection on top of the solenoid. Hope this helps.
