Transmission Shifting

I Have 04 F150 4x4 Im Runnig 315 75r 16. This Is My Deal When I Floor It To Pass Someone Or Pull Out In Traffic Sometimes It Will Down Shift And Hit Passing Gear Other Times It Will Fall Flat On Its Face. My Buddy Also Went To Lager Tires And Has The Same Problems. My Question Is What Is Best For It Gears, Programer, Shift Kit. Or Anything Else U Could Think Of. I Just Dont Want To Burn Up The Trans By It Jumping Up And Down.

I would say gears and or programmer. ALot of the members here go with an Edge or a custom tune by Troyer. If it were my truck i would go with gears first then a programmer. If you plan on more mods later like CAI and cat-back exhaust, think about a custom tune. Gears i would say 3.73 or 4.10 in your truck.
