Thunk noise when accelerating from stop.

I have a 05' 5.4l and I've been noticeing lately that there is a thump and a hesitation when I accelerate from a stop position. Almost feels like the drive shaft is loose. or something is slipping. Only happens from a stop position. The slower I accelerate the worse it seems to be. My father has a 07' and his truck doesn't have the same sound. Anyone have any ideas? Almost feels like the truck starts to drive, then something misses and then catches again.

Believe it or not I thought I had trans problems too...... Your prob maay be different but I had the same happening to my 98 and it turned out being the rear shock bolts being loose, so when the pressure was applied under slight accelleration (spelling) it made a little thunk noise. I retightened my bolts and there was no issue with the trans at all.

Your problem may be different, but don't disregard this message because I did spend alot of time trying to figure this out.

Sound stupid right?!?! Believe it or not !
