Unhappy ok i am really stupid this time


i was really stupid this time
my truck=
1984 ford f150 strait six automatic
has a tranny leak so every few days i am putting in tranny fluid
(its ok i am getting a new engine and tranny soon)
well any way i was putting a quart in
after i got out my stool to stand on
and as i am putting it in i realized that it was not tranny fluid but
oil
i grabbed another quart
(that was tranny fliud)
and put it in
WHAT DO I DO
since it leaks out anyway do i still need to drain it

or should i drive it until it needs more

which is every two days?????????????????????????????????????????

Exactly how much oil did you put in? I don't think it will be a problem.

i put in about a quart of oil and a quart of tranny fluid
someone told me it would freze my tranny
is that true???
i really have a leak that if i do any driving i have to put in a quart of tranny fluuid in like every two to three days

i am just worried that i really screwed up my truck again

I don't think 1 quart will be enough to cause a problem. Motor oil sludges up thats why it won't work in a transmision. Too much would sludge the thing up. 1 quart in a c6 wouldn't worry me.

Depending on the tranny - 11 to 14 quarts from dry. A pan drop will only get 3 to 6 quarts out of there.
