Help Please Ive got a Major Issue!

Hey fellas i have got a PROBLEM well a few hours ago when i went to get under the truck to change the oil
what do i notice but tranny fluid leaking from the pan well i checked the pan bolts but there tight and when i looked at the dipstick it was broke off the bracket were in connects to the engine block and i could wiggle it all around.

Well i kinda knew that it had to be a seal from where the the dipstick tube and pan meet but how hard is it to get to and do you think a ford dealership could change it quick.

Please i nervous to even drive my truck cause it was a stedy leak.

It's more than likely just an o-ring or two. The dealership will probably charge an hour for it.....not sure though

My old f150 had the same problem with the dipstick for the oil. The enitre dipstick tube/holder became unsealed from the engine. I stuck the tube back in the hole but because it wasn't sealed, when ever I accelerate I would spray oil through the hole over the engine. You may want to try the dealer and see what they can do for you, but if you can get to it, I would try a product called SEAL ALL. It comes in a yellow tube, I bought mine at an Autozone. It worked for a couple of months with no problems, then I sold the truck . I disclosed the problem to the new owner who lives in town. I still see him driving around in my truck and he's not the kind of guy who would put money in any repairs. That was about a year ago. He's still pretty happy with truck and hasn't mentioned any further problems with it.

I guess what I'm saying is, try this solution and see how it works before you head over to the dealer.

Yep should just be an O-ring, shouldn't be a big thing. If any problems try the Seal All it will work or even some quick drying JB Weld as a very last resort. I beleive if you go by the Ford place they will sell you an O-ring.
