Anyone ever have their "low one way clutch" (sprag) come appart? I took my Expy in for server at 53k, previous service was at 25K. Both times they dropped the pan and changed the filter. The 53k service the found parts of my low one way clutch stuck to the pan magnet.

My tranny guy said that its not a common failure and must have been a manufaturing defect or installation problem. The tranny was still driving fine and had no noticable problems.

I do tow about 5000# a couple times a month, but I alway baby it. I hold it in manual 1st or down shift it.

Anyway, it was replaced under warranty and oddly enough my milage jumped from 13.5 consistantly to 15.4 on the 1st fillup. The 2nd tank is looking good too even with 100 miles of towning.
