Hot Tranny!!!

Well my tranny hit 225 yesterday driving on the freeway think it was about 90 degrees outside at the time, and i was looking for some help as to keeping it nice and cool. Im getting a Hughes deep pan soon but will it help that much, or how about tranny coolers??? What do you guys think?? I would really like to keep it in the 160 degree temp because i live in vegas and its going to be getting HOTTER soon so any advise is really greatly appreciated!!!

thats insane, how hot does it get driving around town? If im at 220 from driving around town, ill take it out on the highway and run 65 for about 10 minutes, cool it down to about 180 or so before i park it. mine will run about 165-180 on the interstate doing 70-75mph when its 95-100 out

Id upgrade to a f250 tranny cooler, they are very nice, fit good, and will keep your temps down. I forgot to mention i do have a bigger cooler, i think its rated at 28000gvw

I have that cooler. I loved it while it worked. The sensor that turned the fan on quit working and I wired it to a switch inside the truck. So now I turn it on when I see the guage go up.
