Overdrive Concern

I was driving home from work last night and decided to hit the OD button. When I hit the button nothing happened. I've only had the truck for about 3 months and had everything checked out before I purchased it.
The OD button seems to not be working, OD off light won't come on and doesn't shift out of overdrive. Could this just be a problem in the shifter or is this something more?

Help to know yer year. Common for the '92-'03s to have the two bitty wires coming out of the shifter tube to break and it's a simple patch job to resplice. Also could be a fuse blown.

If it's a newer truck, I have no idea other than the fuse.

The fuse supplies power to at least 4 other applications.
If it is blown you should have noticed other things not working.
If blown, fix the wiring under the cover at the shift lever location.
Location 29 should be the one. 5a.
