Which clutch to buy? noob here.

I have a 1995 f-150xl 4x4 with the straight six.
I love the truck, unfortunately my slave cylinder went during this last cold snap.
My friend says we might as well replace the clutch while we are in there.
(going from his words)
it has 95k on it,
i have to purchase a clutch, but it is so confusing and would prefer to put in something of quality, but i read to be weary of "performance" clutches.
i am more than content with performance as is but do not want to buy a "cheapo" clutch.
brands to reccomend?
any rebadges?
who makes "perfection"?

thanks in advance.

I would just go with a Ford rebuilt clutch disc and pressure plate. My local Ford dealer claims that jobber clutch parts (NAPA etc.) cause chatter in Fords. My local Ford dealer also sells the Ford clutch parts (clutch parts only) at a big discount. Trying to keep happy customers I guess.

Howdy and welcome. The '92 Bronco loves the Centerforce I clutch I put in.

The manufacturers clutch was made by LUK. IF you buy a NEW LUK assembly you will get OEM quality parts at a better price than the dealer. I get them through a local transmission supply house here, I don't know where to suggest for you however I would call around and specify LUK clutch. Do not accept a reline from anyone.
