It's cold!

It has been real cold here in CO lately. I have a 2001 SCrew 4x4. Every morning for about the last 2 weeks with the negitive temps in the morining I drive to the end of the block and the truck acts as if it is in nuetral. I sit for there for about 5 seconds and you can almost feel it engage back into gear. I do keep the truck in the grage at night, but it is still 15 or so degrees in there according to the trucks gauges. Any guess on what might be causing this??

i had the same type symptoms on my old dakota. turns out my torque converter was draining down overnight.morning comes time for work. dam thing would slip the first 1/8 mile down the street.after that she would shift great. it was only when she sat parked for 5- 6 hours. otherwise it wouldnt do it. stop at a store run in ,start her up again she was fine,. very frustrating.she had 138k on her so.....

Check fluid level now. Flush and fill soon.

add a smidge of Lucas tranny fluid to it, its real thick and helps to stick the clutches
