Exhaust has to come out to swap the transmission, that is the worst part about swapping the trans imo.

HI!... Your going to luv owning a 4x4 after you pull your trans! LOL!

I'm a 4x2 and built my custom exhaust so I can drop the tranny without removing the exhaust. 25-30 minutes and mine is out. Of coarse thats on a hoist with air tools!

Here's the converter in the trans. Now do you see why you have to drop the tranny to remove and install a converter.

Oh yeah... I wasnt sure if you could move it back and down enough without having to drop it all the way... I guess the project is on lol! I have all the tools, and my truck is high enough i wont have to lift it, so thats a plus!

Oh boy...Be prepared for the weight of that e40d, hope you aren't planning on lifting it on your chest or a floor jack. I feel like a fortune teller as I see swearing in your future. The engineers were not concerned with you when they designed it.
