Angry 4R70w Question!

i have a 97 f150 with the 4.6w running to a 4R70w. i found a 2002 f250 5.4L and as i was just informed by jbrew they didnt run that tranny to that particular motor? what are my options here?

the little man in my head is angry at me...

so are my options as follows
1) swap the 5.4 at a yard for another 5.4 out of a f150?
2) swap trannys?
3) new bellhousing?
4) cry in a corner and dont come out?

It's not a different motor though. There's only 1 block that all the trucks that got 5.4's have. That's it.

All tranny's attach to the block, period. The only thing I can think of is that you guys are looking at that dust shield and it's throwing you off.

Yeah, I think you guys were talking about two different situations and things were starting to break down. It's all good!

Like triton said , I was thinking along the lines of changing out to a different model transmission and adapting it into your vehicle . That's not easy , if it can be done at all by itself.

In your case it doesn't matter because your swapping out the motor and the blocks the same regarless and any trans will bolt up to it.

The motor you bought had an 4R100 bolted to it and now it's going to have a 4R70w bolted to it. That's what confused me, because you can't do that the other way around.
