Question Need New Valve Body Gaskets?

Neet to take my trans back apart which will require pulling the valve body. Two questions:

1) Are new gaskets going to be needed?

If #1 is yes,

2) Does Factory Tech's separator plate use the Ford factory gaskets?

Valve body's beein in about 2 weeks, truck driven about 50 miles.

Thanks in advance!

Hate to answer my own question, but the answer (in this case) was no. Trans shop said as long as there were no tears, go ahead.

Thought I'd share for posterity.

But you should use the correct torque sequence & specs. I assume you have this trans:

#1 yes
#2 yes but they must match the year of valvebody used not the year of transmission.

Looks just like what was in my '99 service manual. Thanks!

You can get the new gaskets for around $10 from your local ford dealer. For that kind of money its worth getting the new ones. But thats just my opinion.

Clean missed that, Alan. For some reason I thought that was applying to the torque spec in the post above. Thanks.
