Tranny identification

Just curious if there was a way to find out which trans my truck has by an RPO coe or anything? It's starting to act up so I figured I better start planning ahead. Thanks!

"RPO codes" are a GM thing, like "positraction" - not Ford.

Hmm, you learn something everyday! After I looked at your chart (thanks for that btw!) it made sense.

Ya, after I read the thing that Steve pt up I saw that stickie and realized how much of a douschbag I looked like haha. Maybe we should add the link that Steve put up, it lists the axle options as well. Thanks for the recommendation though! Do you guys the bellhousing from the E4OD on a 300 would match up to a 302? Thanks again!

The Ford "smallblock" family of engines includes the 289, 302/5.0L, 300/4.9L, 351W/5.8L, & a few others. Any trans/bellhousing that bolts up to one will fit any other.

Just curious Steve, is your last name Ford? I wasn't sure if since the 300 was an I-6 if it would classify as a smallblock or not. Ive got an older Cartier (mustang) 5.0 I was thinkn about swapping for the 300. This is music to my ears to hear i dont HAVE to pulld the trans all out as well. Thanks alot guys!
