The street tires on the cobra will break loose and spin. On a heavier truck they might not, specially when loaded. Add a set of slicks and dead hook at 6000 rpm and something is going to break or it will bog. Or in the case of a truck you may well end up smoking the clutch. Now on the Stang low end torque is not there so you will be slipping the clutch to keep the rpms up in the power band. A slipping clutch doesn'T transmit the full engine power to the tranny.
My 5.4 makes 275 ft/lbs at the wheels at 1475 rpm. If I dump the clutch at 3500rpm where it is making about 325 ft/lbs and it hooks something in the tranny is in for one hèll of a shock. The M5OD is not built to withstand that much power. A built Tremec should be able to hold 600 ft/lbs.

I am using the stock clutch from a 00 4.6 and a 1997 4.6 8 bolt flywheel. It uses an 11 1/2 inch clutch and a 1 1/16 inch 10 spline input shaft.
