jumping forward

jumping forward

Hey guys! i drive a 98 F150 5.4L 2wd. lately since it has been cold, when i start my truck in the morning, it will jump ahead just a little. what could cause this? tranny goin, is there a recall for this or what? let me know.........thanks.

It's drag in the transmission. They all do it to some degree.

Synthetic fluid will help reduce this. You could also rebuild the trans and increase the clearance in each clutch to reduce how much it does this.
