2005 f150 overdrive light blinking

Unhappy 2005 f150 overdrive light blinking

my overdrivwe light just started blinking, i scanned for trouble code and came up with "P0712-Trans fluid temp sen ckt low input" anyone know what this means? Is it my temp sensor that bad? Thanks for the help.

It means either the oil temp sensor or the wiring to the sensor is bad.

mine has done the same thing, i think mine was because the tranny got too hot due to towing

Unlikely. More likely due to what casey_1 pointed out.
