Exclamation trans gauge question???????

Can any one tell me how to put trans gauge on 4R75E tranny from '04 f150?
would like and trying not to cut/modify cooler lines, and keep stock sensor.
Also do the gauges HAVE to be graounded to engine orcan they be grounded anywhere(as long as good ground)
THANX

typically with a gauge set up you have a pos, neg, and source terminals.

Anywhere you gound will be fine. but to get a correct temp reading, you will need to cut the trans output line, same line as the inlet or high side of cooler.

the gauge should come with the temp sending unit and instructions. Its not hard at all to do. Hardest part is getting the wires into the cab.

Is flairing lines difficult for a "shade tree mechanic" or do I need a pro?

umm ill have to look to see if your truck has a sensor already in it, what year truck, and what tranny code do you have (tranny code is on your door jam sticker)

And yes flaring tubing isnt easy with basic hand tools, actually almost impossible with basic hand tools.

I put mine in front of the radiator. Bought a fitting kit for a trans cooler, a tee, 2 hose barbs and a couple feet of tranny line. No cutting and a cresent wrench puts it back stock in moments. Check out my gallery. Hopefully I will have the picks of my finished cluster and LED conversion on my gauges up soon.
