Quick Help! Where does this go????????

I found a small yellow part in the bottom of the transmission pan while changing the fluid and for the life of me can't find where it would go or even if is supposed to be in there. It's an 03 expedition 4x4 with the 5.4l. I'm a Jeep guy and rebuild engines/trannys but am new to the Ford electronic trannys. Is this supposed go somewhere and if yes, where????? much appreciation for any help.

This has been asked before, if I remember that plug went where the dipstick is now. During assembly they just push it thru when installing the dipstick.

Where does this go?

In the trash. I did a shift kit on my trans and asked the same question.

Glad to see this post myself! I'll be doing mine shortly, and I (normally) don't like to see parts fall out of pans either!

OH NO! Please say you did not throw it away! Its the what-cha-ma-callit,higa-ma-dooma-flotchy that keeps the transmission from exploding!
