I have got this clunk in the rear end and I've got this awful slip bump when starting from a stop going from first to second gear... It's a '05 Fx4 with the 5.4L and 3.73 gears....

Any help is much appreciated b/c the dealership in Anderson is full of a bunch of guys that CALL themselves mechanics....I'm just looking for anybody with the same problem and a fix for these guys in Anderson...

I get this on my 04 xlt sometimes. It is usually not bad but sometimes it's really violent. I'd appreciate any info too.

 

I just got my truck back from the dealer, and all they did was reflash the comp, and it fixed it. No problems anymore!

The first time i had the problem, they tore down the whole tranny and rebuilt it.

They have a print out at the dealership with the possible problems you might have. just ask to see the print out of the new tranny problem list.
