What are People Trans Temps Running at?

I just got my Edge earlier this week and love it. The paramater read-out is nearly as great as the programs!!!!

So I'm watching the trans temp now and I'm curious what other people are running at. So far this week my truck is running in the 145 degree range (stop and go on the freeway).

What are other folks with either Edge Evo's or other trans temp gauges running? I'm especially interested in towing temps.

During a trip to Vegas up some 6% grades, mine hit 176.

Keep it under 200 and the tranny will last. 225 is considered the redline and breakdown at 250.

My 02 4r70 runs about the same (145/150) unloaded normal running right out of the converter.
Run long enough and the converter in lock up will be within about 10° of the pan temp until unlock occurrs then the converter temp wil begin to climb which is normal.
Go the the TCI site and look at the color graph of temp vs life.
The temps given are pan temps per TCI.
260 is the point that breakdown of fluid begins and seal hardeing is not far behind then leaks begin (over a time interval).
My trans never goes above 240° (out of the converter) with max towing loads, on a hill.
You can't keep from going into this temp ranges if towing hi loads. It's inherent in the operation.
