E4OD 93 out 95 in

Adrian,

I have a 1993 F150 5.0 2wd E4OD that is coming out. I have located another one out of a 95 Rebuilt. Question, is there any difference between these two years?

thanks,

Sam.

95s have all the upgrades from the factory and are a better unit stock. Rebuit correctly, even better.

It's a 4x2 95 right?

The pins for the computer connection might be different, but you can do some splicing reading a diagram for both years and be good to go.

Oh one other thing, this 95 isn't a 460 or 7.3L tranny is it?

New Info!!!!!

I went and talked to the guy I am going to buy the transmission from. The transmission isn't rebuilt. It's a wrecked 1995 f150 302. It has been setting since 2004 but this is the kicker, the whole truck only has 13000 miles. I then discovered the transmission was code U not T like I expected. Yeah, 4R70W, so then I started debating on if I should buy the whole engine and transmission complete, my truck has 156000 on it so a new engine wouldn't hurt. I am going to get the ECM with it so now on with the question. Do I have to change anything other than the ECM to make this trade? Is this a generic wiring harness or will I have to change that also? I wouldn't go this drastic but the engine and transmission are like new and for $1500 I am willing to do a little extra work.

Your help is greatly appreciated AS

Sam

You need the wiring harness. The one you have now doesn't have any wiring for the 4R70W.

The whole harness could be swapped over if you wanted to do the work.
