My sisters Explorer (1994, Eddie Bauer edition, electronic 4x4, about 100,000 miles) recently started having a intermittent problem with the tranny. Everyonce in a while the transmission light will come on and it will not shift gears. It just stays in whatever gear it is in. She took it to the dealership and they could not replicate the problem, they did diagnostics on it and couldn't find anything wrong with it at all.

Does anybody have any suggestions on what to look for or to check out?
