I was driving my wife's 2000 Expedition 5.4 engine, today and noticed something, not sure if it is anything or not....at around 60-65 (well that is what I was driving it at). I notice that every once in a while the tack would show an increase of 200-300 rpms and the back to normal in a couple of seconds(running in overdrive) seems like I could feel a shift just not sure, it was not going out of od, I do know that....What the heck is it? Anything to worry about? no other tranny issues. Thanks

 

Torque converter unlockin and relockin. Does that to accelerate or about to shift. If it isn't constant, nothin to worry about.

Just for grins and giggles can you post the TR or TRANS code from your door jam sticker? Would help me with the tranny info page.
