2006 XLT - shift prob.

I'm taking my truck to the dealers Sat. and don't really wanna look like an idiot. (Not mechanically inclined) While driving, if I need to hit the gas, the tranny stalls...like it's looking for the right gear....for a second or 2. I dunno if these tranny's are vacuum controlled, and may just be a vac. leak? I don't really wanna go in blind when they tell me what was wrong....or that it's supposed to act that way. I have the 5.4 Triton....if that helps any.

Thanks for any input you can give.....

Joe

A reflash of the computer will probably solve it. Don't let them tell you it is normal. Mine did that and I told the dealer that it was going to get me killed as it delays when I am trying to pass or enter traffic, my dealer did not hesitate and it made my truck perform as it should. Many have had trouble getting the dealer to do a reflash as Ford started tightening down on why they would pay for one under warranty.

They clear the program out of your computer, load another one in.
