Hello i have an 01' Screw 4x4 5.4 v8 and need to know what trans i got is it a 4r70w whats the info on this piece! I know i have 3.55 gears and i am planning on lift truck up 8" with 37" so i know i need to regear and each axle i heard runs anywhere from 600-1200 bucks. whats is the 4r70w though.
Sorry not very expierenced with trucks just got it as my first one.

 

95% of 99-01 5.4L trucks have the 4R70w. It has the trans code U on the door jam sticker.

Few seem to sneek out with the 4R100 which is trans code E.
