As for water, not a trannies friend, I can personally testify to that.

But Reputable shops around here would be about $2000 or less for a complete rebuild.

What kind of warranty you getting for $2500

If you want too. But you could buy a new tranny every couple of years with the money you spent doing that junk. I understand that you like to work on your truck. I play with machines every day, and that's one reason I really like my job, but you could buy a lot of cool stuff to put on your truck with that money. If you extended you oil change interval to 5,000 miles, and never touched any other part, you'd be rich, and the truck would still last 250,000 miles.

Just messing, man, Whatever makes you happy!

Yeah, that tranny would have been great. However, it's far too late now considering mine is completely rebuilt. Maybe the next time my trany explodes I'll get a monster . . . shouldn't be too long now.

Mine had to be rebuilt at 72k miles. Price was $1700 at All Transmission World. They did a TERRIBLE job and I had to take it back about 8 times and it's still not right. 12k mile warranty. I'm just waiting for it to go bad again and I'll do the Monster box thing.
