HELP!!! Transfer case stuck in 4x4 LOW

I have a '99 F150 with shift on the fly 4x4 with 110,000K miles.

I was trying to use 4x4 high this morning from a rolling start and it doesn't seem like it engaged properly, then when I attempted to disengage it wouldn't and now it fells like it is stuck in 4x4 low. I had to park it and get a ride, I am concerned that driving it will cause more harm.
Also neither of the four wheel drive indicator lights are on or come on even when I re-engage four wheel high and low.

ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!!!!

Try shifting it back into 2 Hi with the key just turned to the run position. Then start the truck to see if it is disengaged.

i believe (i'm sure someone will let me know if i'm wrong)you need to be in Neutral to disengage it from 4x4 low to 2 HI with the shift on the fly. if that doesn't work repeat above then back up a few feet first before going forward.

Thanks...

The dash switch isn't doing anything at all now. It seems to be stuck between High and Low, I can go about 20 mph max but the rpms are very low and the speedometer is at 40 mph.

Time to head to the dealership, bummer!!!

Thanks for the feedback!

As a last resort place the shift lever in Neutral and press on the brakes then turn lever to 2Hi.

I took it to the dealer and ....

They state the transfer case shift motor is locked up and they can replace it for $548.00 but then they are saying that 1 percent of the time the G module or the "brains" of the transfer case may also need to be replaced adding another $400-$500 on to the first charge.

Anyone ever experienced this?
