E4OD 1-2 Accumulator Spring Replacement
I recently bought a '91 F150. 4.9L w/ a E4OD.
The tranny has a harsh 1-2 shift and I think it might be a broken
1-2 accumlator spring. I've already put a new filter in, and also
drained the pan & converter. Still have the harsh 1-2 shift.
Installed a new VSS sensor too (had a VSS trouble code).
Anyhow, what I want to know is: does the valve body need to
come out to change/inspect the 1-2 accumulator spring or is it
replaceable with the valve body in place?
