2wd to 4wd

2wd to 4wd

if i installed a long travel lift kit made for a 2wd truck is there anyway to not reconnect the front part of the four wheel drive and just convert it to 2wd.

The 2wd and 4wd have different suspenion systems, and TONS of parts that a 2wd doesn't have, such as a transfer case and a front axle.

If you just want to leave off the front driveshaft and drive it as a 2 wheel drive, no problem. You can drive it forever like that.

No...I'm pretty sure that he has a 2wd, and is going to lift it, and he thinks he can easily make it a 4x4.

hey casey 1 thanks for the info. it is a 4x4 so i can get the long travel lift kit for the truck and just not attach the driveshaft. but do you know if the 2wd kit will bolt onto the 4x4 model?
