I Removed the Shifter in reverse
I have a 1989 Ford F-150 with a 5-speed M5OD manual transmission. I took the shifter out the fix the boot and put a new noise dampener in. Well, I took the shifter out while the transmission was in reverse. How do I shift it to neutral or put the shifter back in? Thanks Phsdixieboy@yahoo.com

Use a prybar to shift it back into neutral. Push the left most shift rail backwards till the notches line up with the other two.
