2003 F 150 with a transmission whine

I have a trans whine in my F150. The pitch of the whine changes when I step on the gas, speed up or slow down. I had the fluid changed 2000 miles ago at the dealer but still has a whine. Doesn't slip or shudder at any speed, and shifts are quick and responsive. Fliud smells and looks fresh, but so did the fluid that was removed from it. Tech said looked fine, but change it to make sure it isn't worn out. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Demeree, I am having the same problem with my 99 4.2. I had it on different dynos and wasn't able to reproduce the noise, but was able to duplicate the noise by keeping it in drive and standing on the brake. Looks like I am gonna have to change or get the tranny rebuilt. The mechanic put in some friction inhibitor today so I'll see what the outcome is. Since yours doesn't sound as bad as mine, maybe some of that stuff would help yours. May also wanna put some sea foam tranny stuff in before you change the tranny fluid out again. Best of luck.
