I'm still trying to narrow down my whining source. When in park, i rev up the motor and tranny makes that annoying *** wailing whining noise same as it would in drive while accelerating. I'm starting to think its the front pump. Its really annoying. I'm thinking about taking it by a trans shop for diagnosis.

 

Are you sure it is coming from the tranny? If not pull the front belt and run the motor. If the noise stops then look at the alternator, power steering or the water pump.

well I'll be damned..the noise stopped .I took the belt off, Now how do I find out where the noise is coming from..?

 

I'm guessing alternator....i spun all the pulleys to see if i got any sort of drag or noise.....all the pulleys spun with ease, except the alt. it seemed to have a little drag to it and a slight rubbing sound.
On that note i beleive I will have me a couple of cold 's tonight.
