Question trans temp gauge

anyone know the best place to install an electric sending unit for trans temp on a2002 5.4 supercrew.it is 1/8 pipe thread.thanks

i installed mine before it goes into my aux. tranny cooler by cutting into the flex line and adding the sensor there so i know how hot the tranny is getting before it goes into the cooler, i uses a t fitting that went on both ends of the line and the sensor on the T, good luck

I installed mine in-line before it gets to the radiator. The line that runs to the top of the radiator on the drivers side. Some say to install it as close to the tranny as possible for more accurate reading. I think mine is fairly accurate where it is. Check out my gallery for a picture of it. The location is toward the fron and center under the truck.
