How ya figure? The E4OD and 4R100 look very similar and both use E as a code. Also the 4R100 didn't come about untill mid 98 with the intro of the Superduty series.

It's not perfect, but a lot more complete than Sparkys link...

Maybe they did things a little differently for Canadian models but my door code says 4r100. I've seen other 5.4l with the 4r100 also. EDIT: I was going by the door code E. Maybe it is a E4OD.

I thought the e4OD was only with the older engines, not the newer 5.4.
