Drive/Overdrive Button Flashing
I have an autmoatic '98 f150 with a 4.6L v8 with around 67,000 miles. Sometimes when driving around town I hit the button on the gear selector to turn overdrive off. The LED inside the gear selector illuminates O/D OFF. Today while I was driving in overdrive, the LED started blinking. Anyone ever seen this? Any ideas? electrical or mechanical in nature? thanks for your feedback.

when i first bought my '99 diesel it did it to me 2 times
i just pulled over and shut it off and it stopped both times
that was over a year ago and i have no problems to report so far
and thats all i have to report
