Fiqured out...
I posted a while back about my '03 jerking at 50+MPH when it went in OD. I was thinking torqe convertor. It ended up just being the plugs. 42,000 miles and the plugs go bad. They were clean and had a slightly whitetish appearance to them but the gap was at .060+. Replaced with Motorcraft double plats and it's fixed now.
A couple of tips here when you do your own plugs. 1. remove the power block on the passenger side, just undo the 2 bolts on top then slide the connectors off and pull the one connector off. Then undo the other plate from the fire wall and lay all down along the accumaltor for the ac.
3. When you pull the fuel rail pull straight up. plus keep an eye out for those pesky blue O rings. I almost lost one down the valley off death. When you go to replace the fuel rail, an old mechanics trick is to lightly lube the o-rings with a grease. I used vegatable oil and it went on smooth as silk. 4.On the drivers side don't be afraid to undo the connectors and vacume hoses. It's a no brainer putting them back. Also lower the power sterring pump resovair out of the way.

There's something in your gas or an additive that done the
plugs in.
The miss occurred when the EGR opened.
The fuel is cut lean and the timing advanced at that time and puts more load on the ignition.
Any plug accumulation that is conductive will cause missfire. You may not even be able to see it, but it's on them along with the wider gap .060 gap is not that bad..

In an EPA zone so they sell that oxygen enriched formula (mbmh?).
Plus I have one of Mikes power programers and he's got it tweaked for milage more than performance on the tow and enhanced stock program.
It does run real good now, a definant improvement.
