Potential problems

A couple of months ago i bought a 2000 F-150 with 4.6 and 4 speed auto transmission. Is there anything to look out for, trouble of any kind.
It has 62000 miles on the odometer.

Obviously there is not many who knows the F 150 in this forum, since there is no one who can tell anything about them. But i guess it was worth a try!

Change the trans fluid at least every 30K miles. If you don't you will have trans problems. Make sure to use a fluid with a MERCON V rating.

Sometimes some of us have other things to do so it takes a while to answer a question. I don't think there is a 24/7 paid person here answering questions.

Thanks

Thank you for your reply! I appreciate it. Of course nobody is here 24/7. But i got the response i wanted. Anyhow, i have noticed that when i drive slowly, att 15 - 20 mph for instance in rush hours, there seems to be some slack in the drive train, causing some clack-clack in stop and go traffic. I have tried to locate it, but it seems to be a combination between the transfer case and the diffrential. Is this normal and noyhing to worry about, or should it be taken care of. I still have one month of guarantee left since i bought the car.Apart from this i love this vehicle. Even if gas is 6,40 a gallon here in Norway!!

Replace the U-joints. That will stop the clacking noise, the U-joints are worn out. Replace with the ones with grease zerks makes them last longer.

Howdy, sorry for missing this, I didn't see it.

How exactly did you check for "a lot of slack in the transfer case"?

Do a fluid flush on the tranny if it hasn't been done yet.

Thanks for the reply
I lifted the truck up so i could turn the wheels. I vent under to look, while a friend of mine moved the wheels.
There was nothing to see in the differential, but i could move the drive shaft about 2/10 of a full turn.
What do you mean by a fluid flush!
