Im new to the site and have some questions bout my tranny. I don't drive it that much since I have a 4cyl work truck. But when I start it up there is alot of noise coming from the tranny toward the front at the torque convertor. After about 10 seconds the noise quiets down alot, now the tranny seems to be slipping as i hit the gas hard taking off. I was thinking it might have something to do with the pump at starting and not getting fluid pump fast enough? I don't know much about trannys but can do anything else. The truck is a 2000 4x4 5.4l, it only has 60k and otherwise is mint. I has never been put through hell either. If the tranny is going bad I was wondering if there is a company that makes a performance tranny for my truck. Almost forgot. I went to buy a filter for it and the one the store gave me was twice the size of the old one and wouldn't fit in the pan! Finally after some time we found one that fit. The guy looked on the computer and that filter went to a 2001 supercharged 150? Thanks for any help
