Dipstick Hose?

So at 25,000 (32k miles now) miles and maybe 7 months ago , with BARELY a month left on warranty my whole transmission had to get replaced/rebuilt.

Now i have a transmission leak and they say its the dipstick hose and want to charge me ~$130 to fix...

Shouldn't this be under their 12 month warrantee on repairs? And if not is this something that can be replaced at home by me or someone that actually has some mechanical ability?

Yes, I think it should be covered under warranty. The dipstick tube usually leaks when the o-ring wasn't replaced when the transmission was removed, or if the tube was bent during installation.

Usually just the o-ring that leaks.
