atf... what kind?

atf... what kind?

i kno my truck takes mercon V but i was just curious as to brand of oil wise i should have the best luck with.ive used mobile one syn for engine oil and mobile seems to know whats up. do they make tranny fluid too? if not what are some other brands that are well known with no problems? thanks for any help guys

I've been running AAMCO brand in both the '00 Crown Vic and the '99 F150 (both have the 4.6 litre and 4R70W, complete flush and new filter) with no problems at all. Got it at auto zone. The Vic has 73k miles, the F150 145k mi.

I changed mine out on my 01 about 15K ago and put Valvoline Mercon V in it. It's as smooth as silk at 47K.
