Hi Guys.
I had the trans on my 2000 F150 4x4 rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago and I have a very strange problem. The tranny spits out the fluid while driving, the tranny shop extended the breather tube up into the engine compartment and it still spits out the fluid. Any ideas as to why it does this? Second, when I try read the level on the dipstick, I never get the same reading twice in a row??????

I still have warrenty on the tranny but the shop is at a loss as to why the tranny does what it does. I was talking to a friend and he thought that the pump was making too much pressure and therefore it would spit out fluid. Does anyone else have any other ideas??
If your Ford dealer is giving you a "deer in the headlights" stare about this problem, it's time to take it to another Ford dealer, because it seems they are just pretending to be a Ford dealer. A good Ford dealer is not that hard to find and will take care of your problem. Stand your ground, it's your truck. You paid for it. It still has a warranty. They are OBLIGATED to fix the problem. Don't let them BS you.
Woah woah woah! Either you have a waaaay overheating tranny all the time, or it is overfilled. Proper level reading involves a warm tranny, shift from P to 1 one second at a time, then back to park. Check the stick on a level ground.

Could there be something obstructing the cooler lines? Seems like that could cause it to overflow. If there is something in the line that lets the fluid pass once pressure builds up but not until that could explain the readings problem. If it doesn't let enough through that could cause the overflow I would think as well. Is the thing running really hot?

Sounds like a high pressure leak inside that is agitating the fluid.
Maybe one of the piston seals got damaged on install.

the cooler lines were flushed in both directions, the level is not at a consistant level when its measured. A tranny shop did the rebuild and not a dealer (too expensive). I got quotes from $1600 to $3700 for the same job.
